So proud of and happy for this family!
Kristen was in prodromal labor the past week & a half, and she was getting so exhausted from the start and stop of it, the rollercoaster emotions, and so much more. But she handled it beautifully… balancing movements & activity with rest. And then finally, at 4:30 in the morning on May 11th,
one day before her due date, something felt different. It was finally baby day!
Her husband called me around 6am, saying contractions were 10 minutes apart, and strong! About an hour later, they were 5 minutes apart & even stronger, along with other great signs of active labor. So, we all prepared to head to the beautiful Origins Birth Center, in Dallas, where Kristen was to have her baby.
We all got to the birth center around 9am, and she was almost 7cm, and ready to rock & roll! We did a few contractions in bed, a few on the toilet (aka: the dilation station), and then shortly after, Kristen decided to get into the tub. She had a nice long break from the intense rapid contractions, before it was time to push. And then baby boy, Killian, arrive at 12:30pm, delivered by his Dad.
The most beautiful, smooth transition for baby from womb, to water, then earthside into his Mama’s arms. The most perfect little guy. Happy birthday Killian! You have the sweetest parents, and best big brothers! Have a beautiful life, little guy…
