It was an absolute JOY to be a part of this woman’s special day welcoming her baby boy into the world!
It was a long, 12+ hour day up at the hospital, but so well worth it!
I had the pleasure of doing Priscilla’s beautiful maternity photos for this sweet rainbow baby boy
of hers! And I was so excited to be present for the birth! (Not to mention, super
excited just to be back in the L&D environment…not as a nurse this time, but it’s still a love of mine!)
Priscilla was at 3cm at her last doctor appointment the Friday before, but the doctor decided to
induce due to Preeclampsia that had come on. She was induced on Tuesday morning, still at 3cm. But
her blood pressures started to rise more and more as the contractions intensified.
So, the doctor made the decision to put her on a Magnesium drip to protect her from seizing,
and epidural to help ease her pain and bring down her BP naturally.
Thankfully this helped keep them down until birth!
Progression of labor was slow for a while, but in the last couple of hours she moved pretty quickly into
active labor & was ready to push! The nurse did a couple test pushes, called the doctor,
and three contractions later we welcomed baby Luka into the world!
It was such a beautiful experience to be a part of!!!
So, here’s a video collage of the day….Enjoy!
